Bayaud Enterprises is a great foundation that helps people with disabilities get job training and enter into (or back into) mainstream society. They have been actively working in the Denver area since 1969 helping thousands of people get job training and jobs. They impressed me with their compassion and the care and seem to have for people. You feel like they truly want to help everyone who walks through their door.
When I walked through the doors of their office I was amazed at the ways in which they immediately tried to empower people through their wall art. Some of the things I saw were
Value yourself
Take care of your body
Surround yourself with good people
Quiet your mind
Break up the monotony
Set realistic goals
Get help when you need it
These are all things I’ve been trying to convey in this blog!
Their mission statement also spoke to my heart.
We seek to create hope, opportunity, and choice, with work as the means through which people with disabilities and other hurdles to employment can more fully participate in the mainstream of life.
How great is that? There is no pity or judgment here. They just want to help you where you are and be the best person you can be while engaging in the world that we live in.
